Use a usability test when you want participants to complete tasks and show where a product, prototype, or flow creates friction.

Create the study

  1. Open Projects.
  2. Select the project where the test belongs.
  3. Click Add Study from scratch.
  4. Enter the Study name.
  5. Optional: add a Study description.
  6. Click Build Study.

Add the usability method

  1. In the study builder, click Add method or Add new block.
  2. Select Usability Test - Unmoderated.
  3. Add the task instructions participants should follow.
  4. Add the link, prototype, or flow you want participants to test.
  5. Review the Welcome and Thank you steps.
  6. Save your changes.

Launch the test

  1. Click Preview to check the participant experience.
  2. Click Go live.
  3. Choose the start date and optional end date.
  4. Share the live study link with participants.
For moderated sessions or live interviews, use User Sphere instead of Usability Test - Unmoderated.
