# Connect Jira

> Connect Jira so Fred can turn approved findings into workflow items.

Use the Jira integration to create or link Jira issues from approved findings and evidence.

## Start the connection

1. Click your avatar in the left sidebar.
2. Click **Settings**.
3. Open **Integrations**.
4. Click **Available apps**.
5. Find **Jira**.
6. Click **Connect Jira**.
7. Complete the Atlassian authorization flow.

After authorization, Fred returns you to **Integrations**.

## Configure Jira setup

When Jira needs setup:

1. Open **Connected apps**.
2. Open the Jira connection.
3. Choose the **Jira project** Fred should use.
4. Load and select the issue types for findings or clusters.
5. Optional: show advanced Jira defaults and configure labels, components, or required fields.
6. Click **Save Jira setup**.

  Fred drafts Jira tickets from opportunities and fixes, then asks for approval before creating or updating Jira work.
